Hisashi Koinuma, the president of Koei Tecmo Games whose career highlights included programming the PS2 launch title Kessen and producing Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, will get a further promotion from the vice president of Koei Tecmo Holdings to its president in June 2025. He will also become the sole top leader of Koei Tecmo Games as its president, CEO, and COO in April 2025.

Yoichi Erikawa, who is also known by his game developer name Kou Shibusawa, will newly assume the chairman position of Koei Tecmo Holdings, which was previously occupied by his wife Keiko Erikawa. The latter will become the director and chairwoman emeritus of Koei Tecmo Holdings in June 2025. However, she will also have a new role for the group, as she leads the newly established Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance as a new subsidiary that will focus on managing the group’s funds and investments.

Another thing of interest spotted in the document pertains to Yosuke Hayashi. The Team Ninja veteran will resign from being a company director in June 2025. However, there are no mentions of him leaving his position as the head of the group’s newly established AAA Studio as revealed at the end of 2024. The large-scale restructuring in overall will also help Koei Tecmo Games to focus on developing and releasing new video games for all existing platforms.

The major restructuring of Koei Tecmo Holdings will take place in June 2025.
