The company has also published a webpage that explains the new features in Arcade Archives 2 that did not exist in the previous ports. Some of the brand-new features include 5-second rewinds and the increase of Original Mode save slots from 1 to 4, with an additional quick-save slot. Some of the games will also have an additional Time Attack mode and a Network Mode that lets people play online via the internet.

The new Arcade Archives 2 version is available at ¥1,100 / $9.99. However, users who have already purchased the original Arcade Archives port of the same game on the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to get the respective newer console versions at just ¥330 / $2.99.

The King of Fighters 98 is one of the series’ timeless entries that have received many unique releases. In November 2024, Tanita revealed a body health monitor that includes a fully playable KOF ’98 game with a tax-inclusive price tag of 2.2 million yen (~$14,380).
