We’ve seen Time Pilot, Frogger and Contra on the Xbox Marketplace. If you don’t have a 360 you can experience these game on the PC with the Konami Live online controller. The device is sort of like those plug and play TV games… except you need a PC with a USB port. Once you plug in the game pad you are on your way to playing Gyruss and Yie Ar Kung Fu. A gamepad costs $20 and there are six games in the package (Gyruss, Time Pilot, Scramble, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Contra + 1 bonus). The five named titles are OK, but nothing great like Gradius or the Ninja Turtles arcade game with online play. Instead of releasing the controllers with a few games, Konami should have set up a marketplace where they can sell their classics for an additional fee. Maybe someone else like Sega or SNK will run with that idea and release a gamepad of their own.
