In Japanese arcades Konami’s Quiz Magic Academy gets more attention Dance Dance Revolution. It sounds strange, but arcade patrons in Japan dig casual trivia games. Nazonazo & Quiz: Ittou Niyuukon Q Mate (roughly Puzzle & Quiz: Put Your Heart into One Answer Q Mate) doesn’t look related to the Quiz Master Academy series.

There aren’t many details about Nazonazo & Quiz except it supports up to sixteen players and it has a Nintendo Wi-Fi function. Presumably, the online support is for internet play, but it’s not confirmed yet. We should know soon since Nazonazo & Quiz comes out on August 8 in Japan. If you really want to get to know the characters of Nazonazo & Quiz there is a 40 page online manga to read.

Speaking of Quiz Master Academy whatever happened to the DS version? Konami announced that months ago. Did they change it into this? Given the power of the Quiz Master Academy brand I would guess that’s unlikely. Why bother creating new characters when there are Quiz Master Academy toys.
