Sony has been a big supporter of free to play games for their consoles. Dust 514 in the West and Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation are two successful examples on PlayStation 3. On Vita, Sega released Samurai & Dragons and Square Enix ported Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur. Tecmo Koei and Namco Bandai both have free to play fighting games available as PS3 downloads.
Konami will join the free to play on consoles club with Power Pros Stadium, a baseball themed card game where players collect cards to create a baseball team.
Power Pros Stadium is based on the long running baseball series in Japan. You can prepare for matches by selecting practice (which uses up energy) and challenge other teams in battle mode. Power Pros Stadium supports cross platform challenges, so you can play against a friend even if you have different hardware. If you have Power Pros Baseball 2012 for PS3 or Vita you can get a Rare Power Getter Ticket if you have a save file. Konami will also give players rare cards and items for inviting friends. Power Pros Stadium will launch on June 26 in Japan.
