Capcom has shared more profiles on the cast of characters set to appear in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. Previously, we learned more about Phoenix Wright’s assistant Maya Fey, in addition to the Khura’inese tour guide and monk-in-training Ahlbi Ur’gaid.
This time, we get a look at the returning characters of Athena Cykes and Apollo Justice, as well as new characters Nahyuta Sahdmadhi and Roger Retinz.
First off, Apollo is described by his profile as having an “unbreakable spirit and a relentless need to find the truth of every case.” He also possesses a special bracelet that contracts around his wrist during critical moments, indicating to him that he must focus on peoples’ words and actions to detect if they are telling the truth. In Spirit of Justice, Apollo must defend Phoenix Wright’s daughter Trucy when she is convicted of a murder.
The prosecutor in that very same case, however, is Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, a devout monk from the Kingdom of Khura’in who is licensed to practice law internationally. His profile describes him as claiming to be able to see the “karmic flow” of a trial and, like many of the people from Khura’in, he holds a profound dislike for lawyers.
Next, we get a look at returning character Athena Cykes, a young attorney who is eager to learn and prove herself. She first appeared in Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies where her super-sensitive hearing often came in handy. In Spirit of Justice, Athena will have to assist Apollo in his case defending Trucy.
Lastly, the character profiles give us a look at a new character, Roger Retinz. Roger is a television producer who appears to be an easygoing guy and is hardly ever seen without his cup of coffee. However, when something goes awry on the set of his latest production (a magic show featuring Phoenix’s daughter Trucy), Roger deflects all blame and instead directs responsibility for the death of a stagehand onto Trucy herself.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice will release digitally for the Nintendo 3DS on September 8th.
