Convenience store chain Lawson announced a new collaboration with Umamusume: Pretty Derby in Japan. It starts today—August 19, 2025—and features four different Umamusume. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The four Umamusume who appear on the collaboration merchandise at Lawson are: Mejiro McQueen, Dantsu Flame, Chrono Genesis, and Win Variation. All of them are holding either Takenoko no Sato or Kinoko no Yama snacks. Of these four, Mejiro McQueen is the only one who’s in the global version. Global fans can also see who Dantsu Flame is in the Beginning of a New Era movie, where she appears as protagonist Jungle Pocket’s friend and rival. She is also the only one of the Umamusume to offer the viewer a candy, whereas the others are content to simply pose with them.
As for the collaboration, purchasing three different candies that are part of the campaign can net you an original clear folder, with five possible variations to choose from. You can also get special Kinoko no Yama or Takenoko no Sato snacks that have an Umamusume on the cover, and these boxes also contain miniature acrylic stands. For example, if you buy the Takenoko no Sato box with Chrono Genesis on it, you’ll receive a Chrono Genesis acrylic stand. You can also buy a larger acrylic stand for 1650 JPY ($11.20) each.
