Following a release date delay in June 2025, Nintendo finally announced the Link and Zelda live-action actors for the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie. Shigeru Miyamoto revealed both on the company’s social media account. Link will be played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. Meanwhile, Zelda is Bo Bragason.

Here is the statement from Miyamoto about both live-action The Legend of Zelda Link and Zelda actors. It also again confirmed the new May 2027 release date.

Given the age of both characters, it seems like we’ll be looking at the teenage or younger interpretations of Link and Zelda in this movie. We don’t know any other actors for characters like Ganondorf.

Both Ainsworth and Bragason are British actors. Ainsworth is best known as Mark Critch from the show Son of a Critch, though he also was the voice of Pinocchio in Disney’s live-action movie. Bragason is better known for her roles in British TV shows. She played Roxy Jackson in Renegade Nell and Amy Knightly in The Jetty.

The Legend of Zelda live-action movie will show up in movie theaters on May 7, 2027, and we should learn more about additional actors in the film now that the Link and Zelda roles ended up confirmed.
