Lik-Sang closes its doors

Import video game retailer Lik-Sang, announced that they are out of business. No new orders will be accepted and they are refunding money for all orders that were placed. In a press release Lik-Sang mentioned that, “the staff of Lik-Sang will make sure that nobody will get hurt in the crossfire of this ordeal.” After losing the lawsuit for selling PSPs to Europe early, Lik-Sang was forced to close down. Interestingly some of the people who bought PSPs from Lik-Sang were employees of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

“The list of PSP related Sony Europe orders reads like the who’s who of the videogames industry, and includes Ray Maguire (Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Alan Duncan (UK Marketing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Chris Sorrell (Creative Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Rob Parkin (Development Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited), just to name a few.”

Now that Sony made an example out of them it is unlikely that another company is going to ship PS3s to Europe before the European launch.
