Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2 have been working together for years. While CyberConnect2’s has mostly been working on Naruto fighting games and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle every once in awhile a game that they’ve been quietly working on for years like Solatorobo: Red the Hunter comes out. Solatorobo was a spiritual sequel to Tail Concerto, a PsOne RPG set in a world with anthropomorphic dogs and cats. Maybe Little Tail Story will be a sequel to one of those games.
Siliconera found a trademark for Little Tail Story registered by Namco Bandai. The publisher also filed a trademark for “dog and cat in an RPG” which reminds us of Solatorobo and Tail Concerto. It’s either that or a pet store sim RPG, but we’re hoping CyberConnect2 can make another one of their passion projects.
