There will be a new Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP announcement at 6pm PT/9pm ET on June 13, 2024, and we’ll be able to see the first trailer for it, as well as learn about the release date and platforms.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be a remastered version of the original Lollipop Chainsaw. However, Suda51 and James Gunn, who had worked on the original, aren’t involved in the project. Dragami Games originally announced it as a remake, though it became a remaster due to fan request.
Lollipop Chainsaw originally came out in 2012 and is a hack-and-slash action-adventure game with a morbid and dark sense of humor. It stars Tara Strong and Eri Kitamura as Juliet Starling, a cheerleader who moonlights as a zombie hunter, which is her family’s business. After her boyfriend dies protecting her from a zombie, she decapitates him and attaches her head to her belt.
Dragami Games first announced the remaster during 2022 and it was supposed to come out in Summer 2024. However, it was delayed until Summer 2024. The original game came out on the PS3 and Xbox 360. So we can guess that RePOP can come out on consoles like the PS5 or the Xbox Series X.
The Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP release date and trailer will appear on June 13, 2024.
