Lord Of Apocalypse Ad-Hoc Multiplayer Isn’t Cross Platform

Lord of Apocalypse is the only cross platform game with a simultaneous launch on PlayStation Vita and PSP announced so far. Since it’s a hunting style game ad-hoc multiplayer is a must, but you won’t be able to play with a buddy if you have different versions of the game.

Square Enix announced on the official Lord of Apocalypse twitter users need to have the same hardware to play multiplayer. Trying to connect a PSP release and PlayStation Vita release of the game won’t work.

 

According to the publisher, Lord of the Apocalypse is the same game on PlayStation Vita and PSP. Screenshots specifically for the PSP version have not been released. Lord of Apocalypse will cost 5,980 yen ($77) for a PS Vita card or UMD. The game will also be distributed as a digital download for 4,980 yen ($63).
