Kadokawa Games recently announced LoveR, the new PS4 love sim by Photo Kano and Reco Love creator Ichiro Sugiyama under the SweetOne label, and we got more details from an interview in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.]
LoveR is described as a love simulation game where you’ll get to experience a sweet everyday school life where you’ll interact with six heroines.
Similar to past titles by Sugiyama, there will be photography functions and the “two Rs” of “Romance” and “Record.”
The objective of LoveR is to basically become friends and enter a relationship with one of the heroines by the designated date. You’ll meet the heroines at random while in school, and from there you’ll participate in conversations to get closer. By inviting them to photo sessions, you’ll further deepen your bond with the heroines.
As for the photo sessions, it’ll have some proper features like being able to blur parts outside of the focus for some depth of field. You’ll also get to use the mic on your controller to call the heroine. The closer you are to a heroine, the more poses you can get them to do during these photo sessions, including some naughty poses.
Starting September 20, an Internet radio station featuring the VTuber “Magical Mina” will kick off, featuring the protagonist’s sister Yumina (CV: Yumiri Hanamori).
Here’s some info on the game’s staff:
- Producer/Scenario: Ichiro Sugiyama
- Character Design: Taro Mino
- Art Director: Quin
- Music: Noriyuki Iwadare
- Developer: SwetOne (Kadokawa Games)
LoveR releases for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 14, 2019. It’ll be priced at 7,980 yen plus tax. Its development is currently at 60%. You can check out its teaser trailer in our previous report.
