Luke’s Voice Actors Explains Why He Says ‘Let’s Go’ in Street Fighter 6

If Luke wins a match in Street Fighter 6, you might get to hear voice actor Aleks Le shout, “Woo! Let’s Go!” In a new video clip on his official Twitter account, Le explained how that victory line came to be. It turns out he ad-libbed it and pulled inspiration from the fighting game community.

Here’s the full explanation. Le said the Street Fighter 6 victory line for Luke was supposed to be “Yes! I won!” He then explained he watched FGC footage of fights where players would say, “Woo! Let’s go!” He then said he asked Voice Director Jonathan Klein if he could use the new voice line. Le said he needed to explain it, before it got into the game.

Here’s the full video in which Le and Marisa voice actress Allegra Clark talked about the game, read memes and tweets, and discussed the victory line. It comes up at the 13 minute mark.

Street Fighter 6 is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 2, 2023, and it will also eventually appear in arcades.
