As part of the efforts to prepare people for Luocha in Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoVerse revealed his Character Ascension and Trace Upgrade Materials. The company also went over different aspects of his moveset. Fortunately for people who want to build him up, he relies upon a number of different kinds of items that are easily accessible in the game.
There are two “core” kinds of Character Ascension Materials we’ll need for Luocha. Golden Crown of the Past Shadow is one. You get that from the Shape of Mirage Stagnant Shadow. It can be found in Jarilo-VI’s Backwater Pass, right past a Space Anchor. (This is helpful, in case you’ve never fought it before.) You’ll need to defeat a Decaying Shadow for the part. You’ll also need the Artifex’s Module, as well as its upgraded versions that are the Artifex’s Cogwheel and Artifex’s Gyreheart. The base version can be gotten from fights, earned by sending characters on assignments, from Simulated Universe, and by heading to the Embers Exchange. (The Embers Exchange number is limited, however.) You can use the Omni-Synthesizer to turn the lower grade versions of it into higher ones.
As for the other Luocha Honkai: Star Rail Trace Upgrade Materials, there are three types needed. One is, again, the Artifex’s Module and its upgraded versions. You’ll also need Guardian’s Lament. That’s a drop from the Echo of War Weekly Boss on Jarilo-VI, End of the Eternal Freeze. Like the Golden Crown of the Past Shadow, it doesn’t involve any upgrades. Finally, you need Seed of Abundance and its Sprout of Life and Flower of Eternity upgraded forms. Those appear at the Crimson Calyx: Bud of Abundance. You can earn all three there. The Omni-Synthesizer also lets you upgrade the standard Seed of Abundance into the other forms. The Embers Exchange also offers a limited number of Seeds of Abundance.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for PCs and mobile devices. The PS5 version is in development and should be out before 2023 ends. The Luocha banner will appear in Honkai: Star Rail on June 28, 2023.
