Street Fighter V will be receiving its long anticipated June update next week, the one which will add the cinematic story mode to the game. However, in the latest development update on Capcom Unity, major updates have been announced for versus matchmaking. People fighting online may enjoy a better experience.

Part of this is due to improvements being made to the Street Fighter V matchmaking preference and logic. When you search for a match and set connection quality and hardware preferences, they will be taken into account and work properly, putting you in a fight with someone within your League Point range. In general, location-based and League Point searches will put players with more appropriate opponents.

Matches should flow more smoothly in Street Fighter V as well. The connection range settings will be more accurate and the League Points will synchronize faster. This means you’ll be able to pair up with people offering appropriate speeds and that your League Points will update faster. In both instances, it means swifter matchmaking and matches.

Street Fighter V is immediately available for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
