Make Super Sonico A Star With Sonicomi: Communication With Sonico This Summer

JAST USA has picked up Sonicomi: Communication with Sonico, a Super Sonico simulation that allows players to help the potential idol on her way to becoming a superstar. The college student/singer/model has a ways to go to before she’s famous, and the player’s assistance on missions and interactions after work help shape her story. That’s where people’s help in the Windows PC game comes in.

In Sonicomi: Communication with Sonico, players take on the role of a cameraman who works with Super Sonico. When on a shoot, it’s up to you to decide what she wears and how she poses for each job, with success coming when the client’s requirements are met. She can be photographed at eight different places, and hundred of articles of clothing are available in-game. As shots are snapped, it’s also up to the player to say the right things at the right times to boost her spirits and make more poses available. The 3D, high quality animations from Motto! Sonicomi, the PlayStation 3 version of the game, have been added for this release.

After work, visual novel elements come into play, as a player gets to talk with Super Sonico to learn more about her, help her make decisions, and perhaps become her friend or lover. Like the Love Plus or Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side series, it’s possible to look at and touch Super Sonico during the after work discussions. These interactions determine the course of the story and help decide which of the 18 endings a player will earn.
