Make Time for the new Game & Watch Super Mario Bros Trailer

This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information

There’s a new Game & Watch Super Mario Bros trailer offering a better and more substantial look at the newly announced unit. But, perhaps the best thing of all is how detailed it is. While the initial announcement was a part of the Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct and, as such, was a bit rushed, this one spends a good minute taking its time to look at the device.

Since this is based on the classic Game & Watch models, we get a better sense of scale here. This very clearly and easily fits in the palm of a person’s hand. We also have a better idea of how clear its LCD screen looks. You don’t need to get an actual battery for it, as it has a rechargeable battery that you recharge via USB. Also, unlike past Game & Watch handhelds that just had single and isolated directional buttons, this has a true D-pad on it.

The Game & Watch Super Mario Bros trailer really gets into what people can expect from the handheld, which includes Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Ball (Mario Version), and a clock at the 20 second mark.

Game & Watch Super Mario Bros will launch on November 13, 2020.
