Make Your Own Super Hero In Lego Marvel Super Heroes

I saw a demo of Lego Marvel Super Heroes which took place in "Sand Central Station." Yup, Lego Marvel Super Heroes has the same sense of humor as other TT Games titles. The game also has voice acted cutscenes like Lego Batman 2.

In the intro level, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Hulk had to work together to defeat Sandman. The boss fight was a puzzle where players had to activate three hoses and soak Sandman with water. The puzzles were designed so characters had to work together like Spider-Man using his webbing to create a rope for the Hulk so he can smash a Lego barrier. Iron Man can fly around and Spider-Man also has his Spider-Sense which detects hidden blocks.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes pairs characters up that you may not normally see like Captain America and Wolverine in the second level. Captain America, of course, throws his shield and if you do this at a wall you can create a platform. Deadpool is also confirmed to be in the game. A staff member from TT Games explained Deadpool has dual swords, dual guns, regeneration, and the power to break the fourth wall.

After the demo I talked to a representative from TT Games who explained players will be able to create and play as their own superhero in Lego Marvel Super Heroes. They’re still tweaking this feature, but the players will be able to mix and match powers from heroes and villains. I joked about the idea of Abomination with Captain America’s shield and I was told that might not be possible because Abomination like Hulk are "big figs" and they have a different set of abilities. A dude with Wolverine’s claws and Captain America’s shield is possible, though. Custom Lego heroes is a neat idea, but the characters you make are locked to your console. Unfortunately, custom super heroes tied to the save game whether its on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U or either handheld. TT Games won’t have a hero sharing hub or anything like that either.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is slated for release this fall on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and even Nintendo DS.
