MapleStory DS Finally Leaving Korea, Maybe Coming To Japan In November

With Nintendo of Korea’s backing, Nexon created a Nintendo DS version of their popular online game MapleStory. MapleStory DS deviates from the original in a number of ways. First, it’s not an online game. Second, there are only four characters to play as. Third, MapleStory DS has an original story.

OK, it’s MapleStory in spirit than a port of the PC game, but there is a connection between the two titles. The DS game ships with codes for special items.

 

While Nexon hasn’t said much about an international release, retailer HMV has a Japanese version of MapleStory DS slated for release on November 17.
