The third and final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo sequel manga launched in Japan on May 1, 2026, and Mappa released an anime adaptation video of it to commemorate the occasion. It’s incredibly brief and doesn’t act as a full introduction to the follow-up. Rather, it serves as a commercial that offers animated looks at certain important moments. As a result, that also means it includes quite a few spoilers.
Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen below, and the actual Mappa Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo anime trailer for the third manga volume features spoilers for that series.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo takes place almost 70 years after the original series. Its stars are Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu, two Jujutsu sorcerers who are the grandchildren of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zen’in. As the story begins, aliens who also happen to be adept at using Jujutsu known as the Simurians arrive on earth. So the siblings find themselves training and working alongside an alien named Marulu Val Vol Yelvori, known as Maru for short, all while dealing with Curses, Curse Users, and rogue Simurians.
The trailer Mappa animated primarily showcases Maru, Tsurugi, and Yuka, as well as other Simurians. However, there are also references to original members of the cast and a peek at Yugi Itadori at the end.

That consisted of the first part of The Culling Game part of the storyline. When the fourth season picks up, Toho and Mappa already confirmed it will be The Culling Game: Part 2.
The Jujutsu Kaisen and Modulo follow-up manga are handled by Viz Media outside Japan, though no English volumes are on sale yet. The anime adaptation of the original series is streaming on Crunchyroll.
