Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Will Add 48 Courses from Past Games

Nintendo is releasing a total of 48 new DLC courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, many of which are from past Mario Kart games. Players can access all the DLC tracks by purchasing the Booster Course Pass for $24.99. The first wave will release on March 18, 2022, with pre-orders opening later today. Owners of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will have access to the Booster Course Pass DLC tracks for free.

The newly remastered courses will come from a variety of past Mario Kart titles, from the SNES era to 3DS. All of the courses will be available both locally and online. Each wave will include a total of 8 courses. All six waves will release before the end of 2023. The first wave will include the Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 64, and Tokyo Blur from Mario Kart Tour. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch, though most players already own it. The first wave of the Booster Course Pass DLC will launch on March 18, 2022, with pre-orders opening later today. It will cost $24.99.
