The Game Boy game, Mario’s Picross, wasn’t a huge hit in North America, but it was popular enough for a Super Famicom sequel to come out in Japan. Mario’s Picross was a mix of minesweeper and a paint by number puzzle game. You start with a blank board and you fill in squares to paint a picture. Besides Mario themed pictures, the Super Nintendo version has Star Fox and Pokemon pictures to play with in. The game is being sold online in Japan for 800 points. It’s too bad that there is no US version because Mario’s Picross is one of those games that should get a second chance in the market place.
