Information has been circulating regarding a Mario and Rabbids crossover game for quite some and it has now been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo and Ubisoft have paired up to create Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which is described as an RPG featuring exploration and a turn-based combat system. [Thanks, NintendoWorldReport.]
The game will feature four worlds that are “twisted” versions of Mario worlds, and its combat will be mainly weapon-based, with Mario and his friends wielding guns that appear to shoot lasers. Eight characters will be available to choose from, including Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi, as well as four Rabbids dressed up as each of them. In addition, the combat is noted as being more on the tactical side. Co-op play for up to two players will also be available.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was originally supposed to be revealed at this year’s E3, but information on the game got leaked ahead of schedule.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is set to release for the Nintendo Switch sometime late this summer.
