Marth Returns For 3DS Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem’s most well known hero is back (maybe?) for Fire Emblem: Awakening. Famitsu has says Marth is in the game and he’s hiding behind a mask. In fact, you can see the swordsman about to cross blades with Krom, the protagonist in Fire Emblem: Awakening, at the end of this trailer.

The magazine mentions more guest characters Clea from Fire Emblem Gaiden, Ira from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, and Innes from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones will be available along with rare items as downloadable content.

Nintendo also confirmed Fire Emblem: Awakening will support StreetPass for cooperative and competitive play. Fire Emblem: Awakening also uses local wi-fi for battles and the game’s dual system where you can give an immobile armor knight a Pegasus so he can move further on the battlefield.

Fire Emblem: Awakening comes out on April 19.
