Fans of Marvel Heroes Omega on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC may want to try and make time to play the game today. Various reports are coming in from members of Gazillion, the development team, stating the studio’s staff was laid off on November 22, 2017 and the game will be shutting down on November 24, 2017. (Thanks, MassivelyOP!)

The original shutdown date for Marvel Heroes Omega was December 31, 2017. Andrew Hair, a Gameplay Engineer on Gazillion’s development team, tweeted confirming he and other employees were fired. Brian Waggoner, a Gazillion Game Designer, posted similar tweets. Both Hair and Waggoner mentioned plans for the game that were in development. Hair said a PC update, Thor Ragnarok costumes and heroes, better AI and game pad support, and a new five-man Raid were on the way. Waggoner talked about 90’s X-Men costumes that were designed, Lady Loki, Star-Lady, Space Knight Venom, Storm X-treme, Mar-Vell and Thanos as upcoming playable characters, and a big Danger Room update.

Marvel Heroes Omega is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
