Marvel’s Avengers XP Requirements and Cosmetics Randomness Will Change

Crystal Dynamics announced two changes are headed to Marvel’s Avengers, regarding its XP system and how people get cosmetics. In each case, the goal will be rebalancing. In short, it will take more effort to level up after an update. Also, the cosmetics acquisition process will change to remove random elements. Launch windows for the changes weren’t announced.

In the announcement, it noted there’s no Marvel’s Avengers XP curve. Once the change takes effect, you’ll need more experience to level up after level 25. There will also be a patch to fix a quick leveling bug. Currently, people can reach level 50 in-game.

As for Marvel’s Avengers cosmetics, they won’t be as random. Random cosmetic drops and patterns are disabled at the moment and people will get more Units. Chastity, who sells cosmetics, will have some purchases disabled. However, Crystal Dynamics said she will sell the following for the time being. She will also start selling some level-up reward emotes in her shop starting on March 18, 2021.

  • Black Widow 6 and 14 
  • Captain America 6 and 10 
  • Hulk 14 and 27 
  • Iron Man 7 and 14 
  • Ms. Marvel 18 and 19 
  • Thor 17 and 22 
  • Kate Bishop 7 and 8 

These aren’t the only Marvel’s Avengers updates on the way. We’re also getting a new character and new versions soon. Both Clint “Hawkeye” Barton will show up on March 18, 2021. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will show up that same day.
