Marvel’s Spider-Man Sam Raimi Suit Appears

In Marvel’s Spider-Man, people have the opportunity to collect lots of different costumes for Peter Parker to wear as he fights crime around Manhattan. One suit has been requested by a number of people, and it is the suit that appears in the Spider-Man film trilogy directed by Sam Raimi. Fortunately for fans, it is now here. Both the PlayStation and the Insomniac Games Twitter accounts have revealed it has been added to the PlayStation 4 game.

Sony’s tweet announcing the Marvel’s Spider-Man Sam Raimi Suit was a little more subtle, letting people know that “It’s time to party like it’s 2002.” 2002 is the year the first movie in that trilogy, which starred Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, appeared. Insomniac’s says it is a free holiday gift being added with the December 20, 2018 update.

This comes after an instance on Insomniac Games’ Twitter where people kept posting and asking about this particular Spider-Man suit and if it might appear alongside the Silver Linings DLC. At one point, Insomniac’s Twitter account said, “What do you want us to say? We don’t have anything to share on Silver Lining. We will share more when we are ready to.” The representative there also went on to say, “We have always listened. we have only announced content through the final installment of CTNS. And we haven’t announced any of the specific suits still yet to come to the game.” One of the final comments, after people continued to ask about this suit, was “Listening doesn’t mean we always will do what people tell us to. We hear you. Hearing doesn’t mean we always act or follow.”

It is important to note that these Raimi Spider-Man movies were distributed by Columbia Pictures and produced by Marvel Enterprises and Laura Ziskin Productions. The more recent Spider-Man movies, like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Into the Spider-Verse, were distributed by Sony.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is available for the PlayStation 4.
