Compile Heart announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Mary Skelter 2 will release in Japan on August 22, 2019, a little over a year since the dungeon crawler sequel’s release on PS4 last July in Japan.
Mary Skelter 2 was made as a collaborative effort between Compile Heart, Dengeki Bunko, Dengeki PlayStation, as part of a “story that completely links” all three medias of game, light novel, and magazine for a sequel of Mary Skelter: Nightmares.
Mary Skelter 2 evolves the core elements in Mary Skelter: Nightmares to bring to you a world teeming with twists and turns, topped with a new battle feature where the previous protagonist, Jack, is now a Nightmare. Players can use his Nightmare powers to defeat enemies, but at a maddening cost. Set in an alternate reality that includes familiar characters from the first installment, players must relive the torturous dungeon experiences and find ways to feed an almost insatiable prison. Will you be able to escape this prison and find sanctuary or will you fall into the clutches of madness?
The game will be available for 7,776 yen for the standard version, 6,912 yen for the digital version, and a limited version for 10,476 yen plus tax. The limited edition includes a clear card set (x 9), a special booklet, and a 21-track original soundtrack CD (Same as PS4 version’s).
Mary Skelter 2 releases for Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 22, 2019 and is expected to release digitally worldwide. The PS4 version is currently available in Japan.
