The post shows a GIF of the name of the game in question, with the “ru,” “kku,” and “mu,” part of the name smaller so that it looks like it’s just saying “Himage.” Incidentally, Hirumakku could mean eating McDonald’s during lunch (with hiru meaning lunch and makku a shortened version of McDonald’s). Himage could mean either “idle game” or “a game you play when you’re bored.” Hima means bored.

McDonald’s first posted about making a game on March 20, 2024. The Tweet in question simply stated, “I think it’s about time we made a game.” Some commenters on the Himage post have joked that McDonald’s moves very fast, as it’s only been a day since it publicly decided to make a game. While there is virtually no information on how Himage will play, McDonald’s made a post asking if anyone played Itotooshi. Itotooshi first came out in 2005. It’s kind of like Flappy Bird, except you’re playing as a string that you’re trying to get through the hole in a needle. Himage might be something similar to Itotooshi.

McDonald’s Japan is making a game called Hirumakku Game, or Himage. More information on it will come out in the future. Last year, McDonald’s also made a game focusing on the Grimace character.
