As per usual, there will be two versions of toys. One of them will be toy cars that have McDonald’s motifs on them. These toys are from Takara Tomy. The other version of McDonald’s Japan Happy Meal Toys will be little Sanrio mascot items. There will be 9 toys in total, spread out over three “waves” of toys. The first wave includes four toys that are based off cooking items. After that, there will be four toys based off outings, with a secret prize in the mix. For the third wave, there will be a chance to get any of those nine items, depending on remaining stock. Sanrio chose the characters for this collection based on the results of the 2023 popularity poll.

The first wave of toys will be available from April 12 to 25, 2024. You can get a Cinnamoroll rice shaper, a Pompompurin juicer, Hello Kitty miniature tongs and container, Gudetama egg, and a Gudetama egg smasher. Since these are Happy Meal toys, it’s unknown as to whether or not you can use them effectively in real life cooking. The second wave of toys will run from April 26 to May 9, 2024. There will be a small Kuromi comb, Little Twin stars compact mirror, My Melody card holder, and a Pochacco handkerchief case. We don’t know what the secret toy is. Also, if you go on the weekends, you can get special prizes like Sanrio stickers.

McDonald’s Japan will offer Sanrio toys with its Happy Meals from April 12, 2024.
