This Megatron Figure Transforms Into A Sega Mega Drive

While we know that Megatron normally transforms into a Walther P38, we’ve seen him also transform into a number of other things over the years. Now, Takara Tomy has made a toy that transforms him into a mini Sega Mega Drive console.

The above is a look at Megatron’s Mega Drive console form. As you can see for yourself, they got down all the little details, from the switches and buttons, and even a little controller that.

This is what the Mega Drive Megatron looks like in its robot form. It even has a little cartridge slot on its chest, with a mini Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge that goes in.

While the regular Mega Drive Megatron figure  wasreleased in November for 10,000 yen, Gamer shows us a special edition gold version that includes a Streets of Rage cartridge:

The gold edition Mega Drive Megatron figure is a very limited edition, to mark the occasion of the Sega 3D Classics Archives game that will see a retail release in Japan on December 18.

Sega are giving away the gold Mega Drive Megatron to five lucky winners as part of their Sega Game Soft Internet Questionnaire that takes place from December 18 to January 31.
