Konami has teased a future Metal Gear Online update. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will receive DLC that will add a Survival mode and additional maps to its online multiplayer. An exact date has yet to be announced, but more details will eventually be shared via its Twitter account.
Survival Modes have been available in previous Metal Gear Solid games. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty had a boss survival mode available for people who completed the game. In the original Metal Gear Online, released on the PlayStation 3 in 2008, there was a Survival mode that entailed making it through several battles and earning reward points.
In addition, two Metal Gear Online events are coming to an end. If you develop a Falkenberg multi-role recoilless rifle before the December 29 maintenance, you’ll receive 30,000 Event Points. The 3rx Virtual League (PF Rating) Big Prizes Event will also end on December 29, with people who have exchanged PF Points in the PF Points Exchange at least once, used a Liquid Carbon Missile at least once, used a Anti-Ballistic Missile at least once, and achieved a win rate of 50% or better in a virtual league battle round getting rewards for their efforts.
Metal Gear Online is immediately available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One owners of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
