Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Demo Is Much To Our Surprise Region Locked

Konami released a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo on PlayStation Network. You can download it from Japan’s PlayStation Store, but you cannot play it unless you have a Japanese PS3.

The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo is region locked.

While we have seen some region locked software such as Persona 4 Arena and the Joysound karaoke system designed for Japan, Revengeance is the first region locked demo on PS3. The demo is not available on Xbox Live since Konami canceled the Xbox 360 release in Japan. Perhaps, Konami is planning to release the Revengeance demo for both consoles at a later date?
