Kadokawa Games released the first trailer for Metal Max Xeno, featuring a look at its post-apocalyptic setting, and plenty of tank action footage that shows what we’ll be up against in the upcoming title.

The game is set in Nippon in the year 209X, featuring a half-machine human protagonist named Thalys that can take on powerful monsters. Helping him is the heroine Toni, a mechanic nammed Yokky, and more.

Using his tank called The Crimson Avenger, you’ll get to help in the survival of mankind to fight the SoNs, monsters that intend on exterminating all of humanity. You can read more in our previous report for comments from producer Juntaro Kohno and director Hiroshi Miyaoka, and more.

Metal Max Xeno releases in Japan in Spring 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
