In Metaphor: ReFantazio, you end up facing what I consider one of the most difficult Varmareno Coliseum arena battles after Bronze I, as the Silver III fight against five Homo Tenta enemies with different weaknesses is a pain. This is mainly due to how difficult the Golden Homo Tenta and Platinum Homo Tenta can be in Metaphor.
How do I beat the Homo Tenta enemies in the Metaphor: ReFantazio ranked Silver III fight.
I’m going to level with you here. I don’t have all the weakness answers for each of the tooth enemies in this fight. This is because the Metaphor: ReFantazio Platinum and Golden Homo Tenta opponents were so strong that after a certain point, I stopped trying out different elements and prioritized my own survival. (Sorry!)
However, I do have some answers to help you out! My advice is to prioritize knocking out the two “worst” teeth in this fight. Don’t use AOE attacks, because odds are those ones will “block” the damage and end your turn early.
Here are the types of attacks I recommend using against all the Homo Tenta enemies in this Metaphor: ReFantazio fight, especially the Platinum and Golden ones:
- Azure Homo Tenta: Slash, Pierce, or Strike attacks. It will use AOE ice-based attacks. I suspect it is weak against fire damage, but I was too focused on getting it out of the fight ASAP. It also also won’t block or repel electric damage.
- Golden Homo Tenta: From what I saw, this tooth is strong against all types of damage. It resisted Slash, Pierce, and Strike attacks when I tried them. Also, it resisted damage from electric, wind, and dark attacks when I faced it.
- Homo Tenta: Slash, Pierce, or Strike attacks. It has the lowest health and will likely go down first.
- Ochre Homo Tenta: Slash, Pierce, or Strike attacks. I knocked it out with physical attacks before I could explore other weaknesses.
- Platinum Homo Tenta: Slash, Pierce, or Strike attacks. From my experience, it will absorb fire, wind, ice, and dark damage.
Here are the screenshots I took of the different teeth right before I felled each one in the fight.

When the fight is done, you get four Courage points for your Royal Virtue stats. You also earn a Miracle Igniter accessory. If you haven’t hit the current cap on the throne ranking, your popularity will also go up slightly.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
