Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Metroid: Samus Returns designed to help remind people what Metroid II: Return of Samus is all about. This four and a half minute video begins by setting the stage for the new adventure, before looking at gameplay footage of Samus exploring and making the most of her abilities.

Metroid: Samus Returns is set on Planet SR388, home of the Metroids. After establishing the danger, it notes that Samus is the legend being sent to investigate the area. We get to see her explore some areas, fight with melee attacks, use Aeion abilities like Scan Pulse, Lightning Armor, Beam Burst, and Phase Drift.

Metroid: Samus Returns will come to the Nintendo 3DS on September 15, 2017.
