While aesthetically less impressive than Sega’s Yakuza 3 PS3, the Star Ocean 4 Xbox 360 package makes up for it by including lots of goodies. This package contains an Xbox 360 Arcade console, disc with five Xbox Live Arcade games, wireless controller, Star Ocean 4, a selection of songs on the Star Ocean Best Collection CD, and a Star Ocean 4 faceplate. All of this stuff costs 24,800 yen ($265), a 3,980 yen ($42) discount from purchasing an Xbox 360 Arcade console and Star Ocean 4 separately. A hard drive does not come with the Star Ocean 4 bundle, but you can still save your game with everything in the box. All of these Xbox 360s are built with 256MB of internal memory. The Xbox 360 Star Ocean 4 Premium Pack comes out on February 19.
On March 5 Microsoft has another hardware bundle for Japan, but the Xbox 360 Biohazard 5 Premium Pack doesn’t come with as much neat stuff. This bundle has all of the items in a standard Xbox 360 package, a 60GB hard drive, Resident Evil 5 Deluxe Edition which comes with a soundtrack CD, and a headset. Yes, that’s right a headset. The standard Xbox 360 package in Japan comes with a media remote instead of a headset. You get both in the Biohazard 5 bundle which goes for 34,800 yen ($370).
