WayForward has announced a new installment in its Mighty Switch Force! series. Rather than debuting on the Nintendo 3DS, like previous installments, Mighty Switch Force! Academy will start off as a Steam Early Access title.
Mighty Switch Force! Academy acts as a prequel to Mighty Switch Force! and Mighty Switch Force! 2. Patricia Wagon is a police officer in training, and is going through levels in a training simulator. Corporal Gendarmour has put holograms of the five Hooligan Sisters in every level, and it’s up to the players to think, run, and gun their way to each of them.
The entire level is visible at once in Mighty Switch Force! Academy, and up to four players can work together to try and beat the system. This is the first time a multiplayer component has been available for this branch of the Mighty series.
Mighty Switch Force! Academy will be added to Steam Early Access on August 25. A price has not been announced. Player feedback will be considered and the game will be adjusted accordingly, with the product listing suggesting additional levels and competitive multiplayer as possible additions.
