First, the new additions. Miitomo’s 2.0 update has added some major features to the game. Sidekick Miis can be created, dressed up, and have their own rooms to decorate. Messaging is available, with players able to use their Miis or Mii sidekicks to send notes to other users. A postwoman gives you a uniform outfit when you log into the game for the first time after the update, to mark this addition. Rooms can be customized with wallpapers and flooring. Each one has a poster spot, which can be made from an image on your device or a Miifoto. Three 500 gold-per-try Miitomo Drop catchers are available offering decorations at the moment, with two offering wallpapers and one offering flooring. Everyone now has an answer timeline that lets you see your friend’s answers and their rooms too.

Two new areas have been opened. Answer Central is the new hub for featured questions. You can post responses to answers there, as well as read, comment on, and give hearts to other answers. Style Central has opened, where you can share Miitomo styles and see other people’s fashion choices. You can post there with your Mii or your Sidekick Miis.

The Celebrating Miitomo Update 2.0 events are all designed to get people using Miitomo’s new features. Until January 12, 2017, people can send one message to get Super Mario Bros. wallpaper, receive one message to get Super Mario Bros. flooring, send two messages to get Metroid wallpaper, and receive two messages to get Metroid flooring. Posting in Answer Central by January 12, 2017, will give you a The Legend of Zelda wallpaper, while hearting a response will give you The Legend of Zelda flooring. Launching Miitomo twice before December 8, 2016 will get you Splatoon wallpaper, while launching it three times will give you Splatoon flooring. Fire Mario’s cap and suit will be a login bonus. In addition, the Splatoon, The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid Miitomo Drop catchers will return, with Splatoon available now, The Legend of Zelda beginning November 16, 2016, and Metroid coming back on November 23, 2016. The Miitomo Drop catchers will end on December 7, 2016.

Miitomo is available for Apple iOS and Android devices.
