Miitopia Footage Shows Reggie Fils-Aimé Rescuing A Face

During the April 2017 Nintendo Direct, we learned Miitopia would be receiving a worldwide release in July 2017. Now, we have new English footage that shows what we can expect when two characters go out on a quest together. In the IGN video, we see a Mii of Reggie Fils-Aimé, Nintendo of America’s President, on a quest to recover someone’s missing face from a monster. (A Reggie Fils-Aimii, if you will.)

The Miitopia footage offers a peek at both the turn-based battles and inn segments. When walking on the overworld map, a party may encounter a monster. An autobattle option is available, but you can also choose to start a battle normally and issue orders. Available options on a turn are Attack, Skills/Magic, and Snacks. Skills and powers can awaken during battle, and the video shows the player getting a Gift of Divine Power HP Sprinkles ability, which restores the party’s health, and Reggie’s Mii getting a health-restoring Home Cooking skill. Between battles, the characters may stop at an inn where their relationship can change, they can spend gold, eat grub, or visit an arcade.

Miitopia will come to the Nintendo 3DS in North America and Europe on July 28, 2017.
