Mindjack Lets You Hack Into Another Person’s Single Player Mode

Somewhat reminiscent of Demon’s Souls, Mindjack has a passive multiplayer mode where you can hack into another person’s story mode. Of course, you’re not really "hacking" into a game. Players have to open their world up by selecting host portal.

Pick this option to let someone else can jump inside your game. Whether they help your or try to kill you is up to the invading player. This feature (which Square Enix probably should have mentioned earlier) finally makes Mindjack stand out from The 3rd Birthday, which also happens to be a body snatching shooter.

If you see some mecha gorilla running in a circle and punching buildings it might be me!

Mindjack is slated for a Q1 2011 release in North America and January 27 in Japan.
