Another game is about to leave people’s lives. Minecraft: Story Mode is going to disappear this month. On June 25, 2019, it will be discontinued. Mojang noted on the official Minecraft website that this is happening as a result of Telltale Games’ closure and recommends people download all season one and two episodes.
This means it would be wise for people who have purchased either the digital or physical copy of either Minecraft: Story Mode Season One or Season Two. In the case of the former, all episodes were available digitally and this would ensure people have access to them ahead of the June 25, 2019 delisting. In the case of the latter, there are instances where only the first episode is on the disc or cartridge, and the rest had to be downloaded. For example, Minecraft: Story Mode Season Two on the Nintendo Switch’s physical copy only had the first episode on the cartridge and required people to download the additional episodes. People who own either season physically should check their consoles and make sure everything has been downloaded ahead of June 25, 2019.
Minecraft: Story Mode’s first season appeared on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. The second season appeared on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.
