Indie Vtuber Mint Fantome is among the latest performers to bring up their experiences with VShojo following Ironmouse coming forward about the company not paying her or making the subathon donation to the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity. She confirmed she is also owed money from the company as a result of performances and interactions with them in a YouTube video. She also noted she “signed on as a member technically” after speaking with Justin “Gunrun” Ignacio about being part of a generation with the company that acted as an idol group.
When Mint Fantome first returned as an indie Vtuber, it was for a Mint & Matara’s Summer Special podcast with Matara Kan, who was with VShojo at the time. At the time, the two clarified the ghostly maid performer was not a member of the company and was acting as an independent individual. However, they established she was doing the podcast and the company might help with merchandise or events.
During her video, Mint Fantome began by explaining VShojo owed her money. She said her and Matara had the money from the Patreon from the podcast, but she wasn’t paid from the merchandise or other fees. She then brought up how she knew Gunrun before VShojo and discussed the idea of an idol group generation. She said, “He seemed very keen about the idea. And so from then I had signed on as a member technically and [Vshojo] auditioned for two other members that were going to be a part of the idol group we would form.” She also said that Vtubers Beri and Pia were supposed to debut with VShojo before her idol group generation did. She explained she was working primarily with the Japanese side of the company for the group. She did say that the Japanese staff was helpful, calling them “amazing” at one point, and said her 3D debut concert “should still happen.”

Every Vtuber associated with VShojo since came forward and cut ties with the company following Ironmouse’s announcement on July 21, 2025. Some of the individuals who passed a 2024 audition process also came forward with their experiences and to confirm they also no longer have any association with the company.
Since that happened, Ironmouse also started a new campaign on Tiltify to support Immune Deficiency Foundation. As of 12:05pm ET on July 23, 2025, it passed $860,000 in donations. Mint Fantome joined other Vtubers, organizations, and individuals in supporting it, and she pledged $10,000.01. (The additional penny was contributed to put her just above Dokibird, who then donated an additional $1.69 so she would remain on top with $10,001.69.)
