Combat In MMO Black Desert Looks Almost Like A Stylish Action Game

Those worried about whether upcoming Korean online game Black Desert might just be a pretty face with no substance should check out the above trailer. Developers Pearl Abyss have released a combat trailer with the various classes for their upcoming closed beta for Black Desert.

There’s quite a lot of flashy zoom effects and whiz-bang when unleashing moves, but it’s nonetheless looking very smooth to play. Rolling behind foes and then unleashing attacks seems to do more damage, and combat does appear to rely as much on mobility and dancing around as it does on unleashing skills.

Oh, and if you’re worried about all the zooming in and out and motion blur, Pearl Abyss say you’ll be able to disable those effects.

Black Desert’s next closed beta is expected to start from April 22nd and will last for three weeks on PC.
