Bandai Selling Mobile Suit Gundam Shirts Inspired By Iconic Final Scene

Mobile Suit Gundam Shirts

Pre-orders have begun for Mobile Suit Gundam shirts sold by Bandai. The shirts feature embroidery inspired by the famous final scene from the series. The collection includes collared dress shirts, polo shirts, and t-shirts that come in two color varieties each. Pre-orders will close on June 23, 2021, and are expected to ship in July 2021. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Each shirt’s embroidered patch is from the final episode of Mobile Suit Gundam, in which the auto-piloted RX-78-2 Gundam and Zeong’s head destroy each other. The embroidery features either a silhouette of the RX-78-2 Gundam shooting the final shot, or the Zeong head mid-explosion.

The dress shirt will come in light blue and white, while both the polo’s and t-shirts will come in either black or dark red. The dress shirt will cost ¥8,800 each (approx. $80), while the polo shirt will cost $4,950 (approx. $45) and t-shirts $3,300 (approx. $30). Each will come in four sizes: S, M, L, and XL.

Pre-orders for the Mobile Suit Gundam shirts will end on June 23, 2021. The collection is currently only available on the Japanese Bandai e-store and does not show up on the western storefront. However, Bandai also recently announced a new line of Char Aznable insignia merchandise that is available in the US Premium Bandai storefront.
