Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 doesn’t have a Monster Hunter character, but Felynes found their way into the crossover fighting game… as a weapon for Hsien-Ko to throw. That’s one of the new items she can throw in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Ryu changed the most between versions, as seen in this changelog. He has at least six new moves like a rapid fire hadouken (QCF + special button), an explosive hadouken, a hadou shoryuken (think of a projectile anti-air blast), and a hyper combo that drastically boost mobility. This move (down down + attack x2) also unlocks two "true" hyper combos – true hadouken and true hurricane kick.
C. Viper seems to have learned a trick from Cyclops. She can fire laser beams from her eyes with the Optic Bright move. Wolverine has a Dudley style Machinegun Claw. Viewtiful Joe can do a V-dodge by pressing attack + special. It looks like this makes him jump in the background. She-Hulk has a long range Savage Swing where she grabs a lamppost as a weapon. Regular Hulk has an Impact Punch which you can charge up. Spencer can get the drop on enemies with Death From Above. Chun Li can surprise enemies with a standing Spinning Bird Kick called a Spinning Hornet Kick.
Taskmaster can skewer enemies with Sting Master and Morrigan can sap an opponent’s hyper combo meter with Soul Drain (QCF + special) Magneto and Storm also have moves to pull and push away opponents. Fairwind (shoryuken motion + special) pushes enemies away. Foulwind (opposite motion) pulls them in. Magneto can attract (pull in), repel (push away), and use gravitation to drop an airborne enemy to the ground.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its rebalanced Ryu comes out on November 15 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America. The PlayStation Vita version will be a launch title in Japan slated for December 17.
