Monster Hunter Stories 2 Brings Back Lilia and Reverto

The latest Monster Hunter Stories 2 announcements during the April 27, 2021 stream revealed Lilia and Reverto will be back. Both were NPCs in the original game. However, this time they won’t be friendly faces. At least, not initially. Both showed up in the new trailer.

Both Lilia and Reverto were friendly NPCs in the original game. They start out as opponents, trying to catch Razewing Ratha. Lilia was a childhood friend who grew up with both the player character and their rival Cheval in Hakurh. Instead of becoming a Rider like them, she becomes a Scrivener, which we see her as in the trailer. She’s also all grown up here, as she was still a child in the original game.

Meanwhile, Reverto was already a Hunter in Monster Hunter Stories. Players would interact with him and see him on certain quests. The April 27, 2021 presentation confirmed that Reverto would become an ally who will work alongside players after an initial rough start.

Here’s the Monster Hunter Digital Event for April 2021. It starts with the new Monster Hunter Stories 2 trailer.

The Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch on the Nintendo Switch and PC worldwide on July 9, 2021. There will be amiibo for Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino. You also can unlock extra outfits if you have Monster Hunter Rise save data on your system.
