The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on July 31, 2025 started out with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for the Switch 2. That won’t arrive until 2026. The first trailer showed a Rider who once again is paired up with a Rathalos. However, there’s also a hint at the end that suggests there are “twins” about to hatch from one egg. This will also make it the first Monster Hunter game in general to appear on the new Nintendo console.
You can see the game in the Nintendo Switch Partner Direct below. It’s the very first announcement. It seems once again this Rider, a character who works alongside partner Monsties instead of slaying them like a Hunter does in the mainline series, will need to head out to face off against corruption in the world.
This means there will be three entries in this spin-off playable on this new Nintendo console. A port of the original 3DS game showed up on platforms including the Switch in 2024. And the sequel first debuted on the Switch in 2021.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. It’s currently in development, and we’ll learn more soon.
