Monster Hunter Walks Us Through Ten Years Worth Of Monsters

As part of the ongoing celebration of the series’ 10th anniversary, Capcom put together a special video featuring various popular monsters throughout the series, which was showcased during the Monster Hunter 10th Anniversary Expo. (Thanks, HuntersChile.)

In the video, you have a Felyne walking by a bunch of monsters to give you an idea of how their sizes compare to our furry friend. Starting with  monsters that appeared in the very first Monster Hunter game, with Yian Kut-Ku, Rathian, and Rathalos.

After a humorous bit with Monoblos and Tigrex, the video shows off monsters like Zinogre, Nargacuga, and Brachydios, followed by the more recent ones like the Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4.

Things get pretty crazy once the gigantic Elder Dragons begin showing up, with the Lao-Shan Lung, around 4:00 in the video.

Near the end, you can also see Rathalos standing up against and chasing off what appears to be Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate‘s flagship monster, Serlegios, who attacked his significant other, Rathian. That’s right—keep your claws off her!

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is slated for release in Japan on October 11, 2014, and in the West in early 2015 for Nintendo 3DS. Capcom also released a video (below) similar to the one above around the release of Monster Hunter Tri. It’s included with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, so hopefully the new video will be included with 4 Ultimate as well.
